Grab & Go POTA Bag
I have had a few different bags for carrying my gear on activations. I started with an Oakley Extractor Sling bag, but it wasn't big enough to hold all my recording equipment and additional gear. I needed more storage space, so I researched and ultimately decided on the Tennba Axis 32l Bag. It has plenty of room for my radios, batteries, camera recording stands, gear, and cameras. The interior dividers are adjustable, which makes it easy to organize and store delicate electronics. I also love storing my iPad and Surface 7 Pro in the front pouch without worrying about them getting damaged. The bag has several zipper pockets and side storage, perfect for my needs.
I use Bioenno 15 and 20aH batteries for radio gear and an HF radio with plate number 1. I have all the connectors for two operators and quick setup activations. The RigXpert 230 SWR meter is handy, as it hardly ever needs to be charged, making adjusting the WRC collars a breeze.
My primary antenna is a Wolf River Coil with a 24" base and dual collar, allowing quick band changes. I also have the extension rods to center load the coil, allowing me to hear and reach further. I keep my Wolf River Coil in a separate padded 3ft tripod bag, and I have plastic stakes and extra rope to anchor the mast down on windy days.
In summary, I am thrilled with my setup. As my radio needs change, I may adjust my gear, but I always make sure that each bag is complete and I never have to steal from one to the other.
