ABOUT US

HISTORY

In the early 1970s, twelve local Amateur Radio operators founded Granite State Amateur Radio Association. For over 52 years, GSARA has participated in activities such as Field Day, NHQSO Party, ARES/RACES Events, and VE Exam Sessions. Our club holds monthly meetings and other club activities to foster connections and support our communities.

CLUB MISSION

Our mission is to promote the principles, interests, enjoyment, and effective practices related to the Amateur Radio Service. Since 1974, we have been affiliated with the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) and are recognized as an ARRL Special Service Club.

We actively participate in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and conduct VE Testing Sessions. Additionally, we host bi-annual POTA Meetups, engage in fox hunts, organize kit-building sessions, and offer a variety of other activities related to Amateur Radio.

When Everything Else Fails, Amateur Radio often times is our last line of defense...When you need amateur radio, you really need them.

Our Meetings

Our monthly meetings take place on the second Friday of every month at Bedford High School in Bedford, NH. Additionally, we offer a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person. Our meetings feature a diverse range of speakers who deliver informative presentations on Amateur Radio. We highly recommend attending one of our meetings as it provides an excellent opportunity to get to know everyone and gain a deeper understanding of GSARA.

Nightly Nets

Seasonal 6 Meter Net

We run a nightly rag chew net at 7 pm, and all are welcome to check in. This net runs for about 30 minutes and is a great way to connect, introduce yourself, and meet other Amateur Radio Operators.
