The objectives of the Granite State Radio Association are to advocate the principles, interests, enjoyment and good operating practices associated with the Amateur Radio Service. The GSARA provides public service communication services and educational programs for those persons interested. In the early 70's, twelve local Amateur Radio operators founded the GSARA. For more than 25 years, the GSARA has participating in such activities as Field Day, the NHQSO Party, monthly meetings, and license classes. The GSARA also operates two - 2-meter repeaters. 146.685 MHz and 147.375 MHz in the Southern NH area and is affiliated with the ARRL. The GSARA regularly participates in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) training events..
In 2004 the membership formulated a comprehensive plan to rejuvenate the Association to its former place of prominence on the NH Amateur Radio scene. In early 2005 the Association held a dinner meeting with a handfull of members in attendance. Since then, the membership has grown to over 50 members and continues to grow. If you long for the time when you could be part of a local group of Ham Radio operators who share in your passion for Amateur Radio or if you are looking to learn new things, renew old acquaintances and recapture the fun of Amateur Radio, then please consider joining the GSARA.
