Meeting held at the Bedford Safety Complex.
Officers in attendance: Dennis Markell (N1IMW): President Lou Wiederhold (WA1HGE): Treasurer Martin Koechel (K9AMG): Secretary Dennis called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM.
Officer’s Reports Treasurer: Lou reported the GSARA has $941.47 in the bank as of January 30th. Open payments are: Liability insurance (-$320), Equipment insurance (-$92.14) and Go-Daddy hosting (-$59). A motion to approve was made by Bob (K1MLR), seconded by Charlie (K1CRF) and passed. Secretary: Martin read the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion to approve was made by Andy (K1VO), seconded by Bob (K1MLR) and passed.
Membership: Two new members to be voted upon – Aaron Nelson (KB1SGS) and Robert Lindsey (KB1SPR). Motion to accept Aaron & Robert made by Charlie (K1CRF), seconded by Jim (K1JXK) and passed. Committee Reports Contests: Dennis reminded everyone about the upcoming CW/QSO contest.
VE Session: Bob reported that we had 19 exams taken at January 30th session. GSARA earned $84 for administrating the exam. Next VE session is March 20th. Old Business Generator: No progress to report this month.
Young Ham: Tom (AC1J) wrote a letter to the 10 year-old girl that earned her Technician license to see if she would be interested in GSARA submitting an article about her to the ARRL. Nothing heard back yet. Kit Contest: Dennis handed out a flyer for the September kit building contest.
NEAR-Fest: We are planning to have a table at NEAR-Fest (April 30-May 1) near the Contoocook Valley Radio Club. 2-3 tables available to members to sell their equipment, sell club antennas, BBQ, etc. Please bring ideas to the February meeting. Future Programs: - · March: Tom (AC1J) and Bob (K1MLR) will do a presentation/demo of RTTY/PSK31
- · April: Dennis has asked Steve Elliott (K1EL) to speak about QRP rigs
- · May: Barry will present “Logbook of the world”
