Meeting held at the Bedford Safety Complex.
In attendance: Dennis Markell (N1IMW): President Lou Wiederhold (WA1HGE): Treasurer Mary Whittemore (NE1F): Membership Martin Koechel (K9AMG): Secretary Barry Whittemore (WB1EDI) Dennis called the meeting to order at 7:08PM. Officer’s Reports Treasurer: Lou reported the GSARA has $941.47 in the bank as of January 30th. Open payments are: Liability insurance (-$320), Equipment insurance (-$92.14), Go-Daddy hosting (-$59) and Dues (+$100). Secretary: Martin read the minutes of the previous board meeting. Motion to approve was made by Mary, seconded by Lou and passed. Membership: Mary 29 members are paid-up to date. Committee Reports Future Programs: - · March: Tom (AC1J) and Bob (K1MLR) will do a presentation/demo of RTTY/PSK31
- · April: Dennis has asked Steve Elliott (K1EL) to speak about QRP rigs
- · May: Barry will present “Logbook of the world”
- · June: Field Day
- · September: Kit Contest
- · Unscheduled/suggested topics: software defined radio, vacuum tube theory
VE Session: Next session is Saturday, March 20th at 9:00 AM in the Bedford Safety Complex. Old Business Cost proposal for a battery back-up or generator for the GSARA repeater remained tabled to the next meeting. GSARA shirt order in process; Martin will finish collecting orders at the February general meeting. Dennis prepared a flyer for the September Kit Contest – he will distribute at the general meeting next week. New Business Martin will check with the ARRL regarding GSARA’s accreditation status.
